I’m not prone to hyperbole, but learning to communicate effectively is life-changing. It’s also not as complicated as most people believe.
We are all born to speak.
We just need to drop the bad habits, armour, and behaviours that are holding us back. My mission is to empower others with simple, science-backed strategies that help them express their message in a way that matters.
These strategies deliver powerful results. My clients have seen their pitches go from a chorus of “Nos” to an immediate “Yes” (without any change to the idea itself). They’ve earned respect, new clients, and over a billion dollars.
Just as importantly, these methods can change lives. I’ve seen shy, withdrawn people become the light of their team, delight their clients, and enjoy stronger relationships with family.

As a kid, I was shy, introverted, and struggled to join conversations (let alone speak in front of people). Years later, I would find out I’m autistic, but back then, I just felt invisible, ignored, and frustrated as I tried to be heard.
At 16, a friend gave me a book on body language, and I finally started to understand how people were thinking and feeling. It was mindblowing, and I started devouring every book on communication I could find (over 200, actually).
Knowing I wanted to make a difference and how vital communication is, I went to live in a Tibetan monastery in India. I was there to teach the monks English so they could connect with sponsors, but when I arrived, I discovered we had no shared language.
We were in the Himalayan foothills with no internet, no mobile phones, and barely any electricity. There was no Google Translate or even anyone to call; all we had was body language and tone of voice.
I spent six months with them. By the time I left, they knew English, and I had learned Nepali. I also knew I wanted to learn more advanced communication techniques.
I went to the UK’s leading drama school for 3 years, where I studied storytelling, stage presence, connection, and how to command an audience.
One day, I was telling my hairdresser about my experiences, and he invited me to share what I’d been learning with his team members in exchange for a free haircut.
I taught them everything I had learned about the principles of effective communication, and as they applied them, their client relationships and even lives improved.
Since then, I’ve trained, advised, and presented all over the world.
I’ve written two books and been featured in news outlets around the world. And I’ve spoken to thousands of people from China to Chicago.
But none of that success compares to the privilege of watching wonderful people with brilliant ideas discover they can express themselves fully and confidently.
I love watching a client of mine take the stage or speak to a boardroom of people, with new confidence, presence, and charisma, and actually enjoy compelling people with their message.
There is nothing greater than helping a person who has an idea, but a lack of belief in their abilities to see how they can expand their potential to influence the world around them.
